I read about the pressed coin machines. It states that the coins would be pressed for a nominal fee. What is the nominal fee? Does it change the fee depending upon whether a penny or a quarter is pressed?

    Hiya Kathleen!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Collecting Elongated Coins and Pressed Pennies is a fun hobby and makes a great Walt Disney World Resort souvenir!  I can see you've already checked out the information on Walt Disney World Resort Coin Press Machines, so do make sure you save that page, as it is an excellent reference for your quest!

There are a few different types of pressed coins you'll find: pennies, quarters, and (even a few!) dimes.  You'll need quarters to purchase your pressed coins, so do make sure you stock up, as the machines only take quarters.

For a pressed penny, you'll need two quarters and your penny to be pressed
For a pressed quarter, you'll need four quarters and your quarter to be pressed
For a pressed dime, you'll need three quarters and your dime to be pressed

You can usually request change nearby, but I'd suggest getting rolls of coins from the bank ahead of times.  You can also recycle those small, cylindrical candy containers to carry your coins around in.  Have fun!

    Have a magical vacation!
