I've read through many posts on dining and all of you seem to recommend the same dozen or so restaurants over and over (I guess that means they are really good!).However,I've not read much about Tony's.My daughter loves Lady & The Tramp. How's the food?

I have eaten at Tony's Town Square several times. It's a perfectly fine restaurant in a great location -- right on Main Street U.S.A.

Part of the reason I think I haven't written much about it is that frankly, it doesn't seem as special or as "Disney" as other restaurants. I'm going to paraphrase a line Disney Mom Heather R used for a different question -- the issue isn't so much what's wrong with Tony's as what's right with the other WDW restaurants. There are some pictures on the walls of Disney movie scenes, but other than that, there's not much that distinguishes Tony's from any of the thousands of other mid-range pizza/pasta restaurants in the country.

My kids can only dine with Winnie the Pooh at the Crystal Palace, not anywhere else; the Coral Reef has a unique "I'm in an aquarium" feel; Boma has unfamiliar African dishes; the Sci-Fi Dine-In has cool car-shaped tables; Artist Point has amazing gourmet food; but Tony's is really just a middle-of-the-road Italian restaurant. Most people can get that at home for less money. That being said, sometimes chicken parm or a plate of pasta with red sauce is exactly what you want. And if that's the case, then Tony's is a good choice.

    Hope this helps.
