I have read that if you want to go to disney quest via disney transportation that you should get off at the pleasure island stop. If I go into downtown disney for shopping , can I walk to disney quest or will I need to take the bus? Thanks!

Downtown Disney is one place separated into three areas: the Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and the West Side. These are all easily accessible to each other by walking.

The Marketplace area is mostly shops and restaurants including the giant World of Disney store, the super cool Lego store, the Rainforest Cafe, and Fulton's Crab House. Pleasure Island, which mostly comes alive in the evening, has clubs and restaurants. And the West Side has mostly entertainment (Cirque du Soleil, Disney Quest, AMC movie theater) and more dining (Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck, House of Blues). At a brisk walk, you could probably get from one end of Downtown Disney to the other in about 15 minutes.

There are two bus stops that serve this area. One near Planet Hollywood (sort of between the West Side and Pleasure Island) and one near the World of Disney store. The Pleasure Island one is closer to Disney Quest, but if you don't mind walking, then you could use either.
