Hi there! I just read on the Disney Parks Blog that Cinderella's castle will be undergoing a renovation in the "coming weeks" and will be completed by end of summer. I will be visiting MARCH 1-6 (!!), do we know the start date for reno??

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristin!

Your magical vacation is right around the corner and will be here before you know it!

I am so incredibly excited for the upcoming 50th-anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort, and even Cinderella Castle is getting ready for the extravaganza with a royal facelift that will feature a beautiful pink, blue, and gold color palette.

Kristin, the goal of any Disney theme park is to transport you to a whimsical, magical world where you can forget your worries as you play the day away. For this reason, work to the castle will be done in a way that minimizes the overall impact to the guest experience. In fact, work has already begun on certain sections that are not noticeable to most guests, including the installation of barriers in the moat that surrounds Cinderella Castle.

When I first heard of the renovations, I was a little concerned that my favorite nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After would be impacted. Not to worry! As I am sure you read on the Disney Parks Blog, this will not be the case.

So Kristin, while I do not have an exact date for you on the start of the more obvious renovations, you can rest easy knowing that the amazing Cast Members and Imagineers are working hard to ensure that you still get the full experience of the Most Magical Place on Earth.

I hope that this put your mind at ease, Kristin. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical getaway!
