I've read that you might want to take a day off from the parks if you have young children. Mine are 6 and 4. I've purchased a 6 day park hopper for Sunday-Friday. coming sat. and leaving sat. Is this too much for the kids? Would 5 be better?

Hi Sherry! It sounds like you are planning an awesome vacation for your family at Walt Disney World.

If your budget allows I am always encouraging guests to get a park ticket for each day. But at the same time I encourage guests to find time to rest and relax and not feel like they have to open and close the parks each day.

With your purchase of the Park Hopper Tickets you can enjoy a couple of hours in one park in the morning and then head back to your resort for rest and swim time. Then you might want to head to another park for dinner and a few attractions to end your day. And please don't miss the great fireworks shows in the parks if possible. The Magic Kingdom has Wishes, Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic and new nightly fireworks, and Epcot has Illuminations Reflections of Earth. This summer the Animal Kingdom is Alive at Night with lights and music and dancing.

I would definitely stick to your original plan of 6 days of Park Hopper tickets. Don't try to pack in everything each day. Choose your three FastPasses wisely and look for other attractions that might not have long lines. Keep the kids hydrated and fed. Take your cue from them when they are tired and need to go back to the resort. You can always return to a park or with the hopper try something else later in the day. Rest, relax, and enjoy!
