I just read that it's more cost-effective to pay out of pocket for Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast than use up two DP meals. We have 8 reservations for character meals with 6 DP table service meals and I'm trying to figure out how best to use the DP.

    Heather,

If I understand your situation correctly, you have six Disney Dining Plan ("DDP") credits, but have reservations that will require at least nine credits (assuming that Cinderella's Royal Table ["CRT"] is the only one that requires two DDP credits).

I believe your decision for which meals to pay for out-of-pocket ("OOP") is fairly straightforward, but since I don't know your reservation choices, all I can do is provide some simple instructions:
    1) Make a list of all of the meals, including the cost for each meal (call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE, if you don't already have the costs)
    2) Sort the meals from most expensive to least expensive PER CREDIT (note: you should divide the cost of CRT by two credits)
    3)  The restaurants that end up at the least expensive PER CREDIT end of the list should be the ones that you consider paying for OOP.  If CRT is at the bottom (and often it is), then you should pay OOP for it (two credits), plus one other single-credit table service meal.

    Hope that helps.
