Hi Erin!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have a trip planned to the
Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting!
As a mom of four children which includes a set of twin boys, I have often found myself riding alone with just two of my kiddos. With varying ages and interests, my husband and I often use the "divide and conquer" strategy when visiting the parks. Many of the thrill attractions feature ride vehicles in which riders sit side by side. When riding thrill attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I always let the twins ride together, and I sit in the ride vehicle just behind them. When my twins were smaller, we usually found that the three of us could sit together on many of the attractions. If you find there is an attraction in which you must sit in an entirely separate ride vehicle from each other, I recommend riding alone just ahead of them, so you will be waiting for your kiddos at the exit of the attraction. Although my twins are now teenagers, they always chose to ride together even when they were the ages of your two. Because we are a family of six and two of our kiddos have always needed to sit together, we've never encountered any issues as long as one parent entered the queue and rode just ahead or behind them, and the little ones met the minimum height requirement for that
attraction.
Before your trip, be sure to download the
My Disney Experience mobile app in order to manage your vacation plans, view attraction wait times and book FastPass+ selections while on the go.
I hope this is helpful, Erin. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
