I have read that Chef Remy is no longer at Chef De France. Do you know if this is true? We have reservations there and my 6 y. o. would really love to see him. If not, can you recommend another restaurant in the showcase area (other than Akershus) for her?

    Bon jour, Jordannah!

Like your daughter, I'm also a big fan of the "Little Chef" from Disney's "Ratatouille." Unfortunately, the real-life version of Remy that greeted guests at Epcot has been gone a few years now. Before you cancel that reservation, though, take a look at the description and menu for the Chefs de France to see if there's something there your little girl might like. It's a beautiful spot, and may just make for a special visit for her.

If you do decide to change, I have a couple of kid-friendly choices for you. First, the Biergarten restaurant in the Germany pavilion is an all-you-can-eat buffet that's also all-you-can-sing-and-dance as well! The show is a German oompah band that encourages guests of all ages to hop on the dance floor and join the fun. The buffet has lots of kid favorite foods, too, like macaroni and cheese, meatballs and apple strudel, all with a German flair.

My other suggestion is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, the San Angel Inn Restaurante, nestled inside the pyramid of Mexico. You can peruse all the fun trinkets at the open-air style market on the way to the restaurant, then dine "under the stars" overlooking the water ride and a smoking volcano. Afterward, hop aboard the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros for a fun boat ride with Donald Duck and his feathery friends.

The great thing about dining at Epcot is that there's really something for everyone, even the kids! I hope this helps you find a new favorite, Jordannah. Have a wonderful vacation!

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
