I read that you can't make Fast Passes if you are going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I remember making them when we went there last year.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gwyn!

I'm excited to hEAR you are planning to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! The special event at Magic Kingdom Park can be best described as the festive Christmas season getting gift wrapped in Disney magic. My family and I absolutely LOVE it!

This fall, on nights when Magic Kingdom Park hosts Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the park will be closing to regular-ticket holders at 6:00 p.m. Day Guests visiting the park before the party starts, using regular admission tickets, will only be able to make FastPass+ selections until 5:00 p.m. Since the FastPass+ return window is good for an hour, that means those selections must be redeemed before the park closes at 6:00 p.m.

If you are planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park in the evening using only Party tickets, it might be possible for you to secure FastPass+ reservations. However, it is not guaranteed. In the past, I too have been able to lock in FastPass+ choices inside a two-hour window before the party officially kicked off at 7:00 p.m. (using only Party tickets). That said, I've also heard of other Guests where the system did not allow them to do it. I recommend linking your Party tickets to your My Disney Experience account. Then mark your calendar and jump on the site as soon as your FastPass+ booking window opens. Hopefully, with a bit of faith, trust and pixie dust your FastPass+ wish will come true!

Disney Mom Tip: Don't miss Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade nor the Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks spectacular!

Wishing your family an unforgettable Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park.
