Victoria Alberts

I read that you can bring your own bottle of wine and just pay a corkage fee to some dining experiences. Can you tell me which ones?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Vilayvone!

True wine aficionados will have no problem finding a wine to suit their taste at Walt Disney World Resort. While glass bottles are not allowed in any of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks (and therefore not allowed in any of the Theme Park restaurants), there are a few places on property that will allow Guests to bring their own.

One of the most luxurious dining experiences in the United States is Victoria & Albert’s, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. One of only two Forbes-rated five-star restaurants in Florida, Victoria & Albert’s offers Guests not only sumptuous food, but sumptuous wine from an extensive list (updated monthly). If Guests have an “Eclectic, Unique or Meaningful selection” not on the restaurant’s wine list, the current standard corkage fee is $50 per bottle (one bottle maximum).

If you’d like to bring your own bottle of wine and have the corkage fee waived, I’d recommend Sunday Supper at Enzo’s Hideaway. Located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, you’ll find this “speakeasy” tucked away next to the bridge and fountain near STK Orlando and across from Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante. Please note that the Sunday Supper is currently the only “BYOB” option, though, and is only available at the Hideaway (not the Ristorante).

Other restaurants such as California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort may allow you to bring your own bottle of wine, but general etiquette suggests that it should be a brand and vintage the restaurant does not carry (and should be no less expensive than the least expensive option on the menu). If you’re interested in bringing your own bottle to California Grill, though, I would definitely recommend calling ahead.

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you, Vilayvone, as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We’re always happy to help!
