I read that if you book a room-only ressie that the balance isn't due until a night before. I'm worried about securing our dates for the resort we want. Can we reserve a room only and then add on tickets and dining plan later when the money becomes avail?

    Hi Sarah!

A true 'room only' reservation (through Central Reservations--CRO) requires a deposit of one night's stay (+ tax) within 14 days of booking.  The balance is then due upon check-in.  If you are less than 30 days from check-in, the deposit of one night's stay (+ tax) is due upon booking.

A package, (even the basic package) available from Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) requires a $200 deposit within 14 days of booking, and the balance must be paid 45 days prior to arrival

If you are changing your true "room only" reservation to a package, then the old reservation will have to be canceled and re-booked as a package.  Also, keep in mind that changing the reservation can result in extra fees (closer than 45 days until arrival for WDTC and less than 6 for CRO).

    Have a magical vacation!
