I read your answer about being pooh sized at Disney. I read that Kali River Rapids has double seats with one large seatbelt. Would this work for me?

    Hi Jaynee!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I truly appreciate you sending us your question! I believe you are referring to my recent answer to a fellow plus-size, or my favorite term, “Pooh-sized” mom.

Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Attractions! Sometime in 2012, all of the seat belts on Kali River Rapids were changed from being one large seat belt shared by two seats, to being one seat belt per seat. I have never had any issues buckling myself into the Kali River Rapids seat belts, even at my largest size (22w).

If there are any issues buckling a Guest into one of the seat belts, I assure you that the friendly Cast Members will be extremely discrete and kind about removing the Guest from the Attraction. Jaynee, just like I did with the other Guest I answered, I encourage you to read forums and websites dedicated to “Pooh-sized” Disney Parks Guests. Many of these Guests share their sizes, experiences, weights and even pictures which can be incredibly reassuring before a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

If we can help you with anything else, please do not hesitate to contact the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. I wish you an unforgettable vacation!

    With Lots of Disney Magic,
