Just read your answer about new DAS and was very helpful. We have a larger party (5a & 4 c) will we be able to ride together or have to split up? Also 2 of the children are under 2 yrs old. How does rider swap work with DAS?

    Hi Shawn ~

I have not used the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card for more than 6 Guests and unlike the old Guest Assistance Card, it does not specifically list the maximum number of Guests that it can be used for in the Terms and Conditions that you must agree to and sign. I contacted a Cast Member at Disability Guest Services for you to make sure I gave you accurate information on your question. The Cast Member that I spoke with said that that DAS was good for the Guest it was issued for and up to 5 additional Guests. However, she did say that a manager can make exceptions and allow a higher number of Guests to be listed on the card. If the Cast Member who assists you with issuing your DAS is not authorized to list more than 6 Guests on the card, request to speak to a manager. There should always be a Guest Relations Manager on site. If you explain that 4 of your party are children and 2 of those are under 2 years old, hopefully they will make an exception for you.

I personally haven't used the Rider Switch Service and the DAS yet so I asked the Cast Member about it too. She told me that since you are technically waiting the current wait time (just being allowed to do so in an alternate location to accommodate a Guest's special needs in your party), you should be able to obtain a Rider Switch Pass as you enter the queue with your party. To be safe, I'd confirm that with the Cast Member when you go to pick up your return time for the DAS. Keep in mind that the Rider Switch Service is only offered at select attractions. You can find a list of those attractions at the link shown above.

Keep in mind that there may be some changes along the way for the new DAS system before your trip.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. Its our pleasure to help you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
