I read that for annual passses it says that the year doesn't start until you activate it (not from date of purchase), but can you register them to your Disney account and reserve FastPass+ options before doing that?

    Hi Chris!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so happy you have considered purchasing a Walt Disney World Annual Pass.  I have been a Passholder for five years now and have loved every minute of it.   Not only do I get 365 days of admission but also some wonderful discounts on food, merchandise and even Disney Resort Hotel stays.  I hope you enjoy yours if you do decide to purchase.

Your Annual Pass will not begin it's year of admission until you activate it at a Theme Park ticket window the first time you enter a park.  However, when you purchase your Annual Pass you can add it to your My Disney Experience using your confirmation number.   When you do this, you will be able to make Disney FastPass+ selections for your first visit even before you activate your Annual Pass at the ticket window.    Isn't that wonderful?

I hope this has helped.  Please let me know how I can help you out in the future.  It's always a pleasure to lend a hand whenever I have the chance.
