    Re FP+: What if a ride chosen in first 3 is down?

    Hello, Katharine!

    This is a great question. While my family was vacationing at Walt Disney World in May of 2014, this very thing did happen to us. We had FastPass+ Reservations for Haunted Mansion. While we were walking to the attraction, I received both a notification in My Disney Experience account and in an email that this attraction was temporarily unavailable during my FastPass+ Reservation time. I was then given a list of several other attractions that we could chose from to substitute. I do not remember the exact options, but I do remember that they were very good substitutions, it wasn't a list of rides we could walk on with no wait if we did not have the FastPass+ Reservation. We did not need to do anything to attain this new FastPass+ Selection. We simply decided which attraction we wanted to substitute (I picked my favorite - Enchanted Tales with Belle) and touched our MagicBands at the FastPass+ Entrance as usual. Viola! We were suddenly transported into Maurice's cottage! 

    Keep in mind this new system is in it's infancy. If an attraction you have a FastPass+ reservation does go down during your family's vacation - the process may have changed slightly from my experience. Rest assured, things will still go smoothly and you will still have a wonderful time!
