Hello! Re: check-in time. If we arrive on a flight that puts us there after midnight (more like 1am after Magical Express), is that considered a really late arrival or really early? Trying to determine if we need to add a day to the front end of the trip.

    Hi Wendy!

    This a great question!

To make explaining this a little easier, let's assume you took off from your home airport on Sunday and are landing in Orlando at 1 am Monday morning.  If you just want to head straight to the parks, then you can check-in on Monday.  Of course, the parks won't be open when you arrive at Walt Disney World, but you can hang out in the lounge of your resort hotel or you can try checking in early.  If a room is available, Disney might let you check-in early; I've never checked in at 1 or 2 am, but I have checked in at 6 am before.  Then you first night lodging would be Monday night and your first day in the parks would be Monday.

If you want to guarantee that you can get into a room, then you will want to make a reservation for Sunday night.  Then when you arrive at Walt Disney World, your room will be ready and waiting for you.  But you still don't need theme park tickets until Monday as that will be your first day in the parks.

I hope this helps!  If I didn't really answer your question, please write back!  You can send questions directly to me or to any other panelists!
