Re: Avatar exhibit in Walt Disney World, how much time should one allow to see the 3 major sites--the valley walk, the river ride and the flight ride--a half day, a full day, etc? Can you see Avatar and the rest of Animal Kingdom in one day?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joel! I had the pleasure of seeing Pandora: The land of Avatar right when it opened, and my eyes couldn’t believe the extreme lush foliage and the high detail throughout the land!

Typically, guests that I talk with spend ½-1 day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The land is expansive, so lace up your sneakers and wear plenty of sunscreen. I think a half day at maximum is enough time to see Pandora. I would advise a FastPass+ reservationfor Avatar: Flight of Passage, and riding Navi River Journey first thing in the morning. Stop at Satuli Canteen for lunch and before you depart Animal Kingdom, grab a drink at Pongu Pongu (and a pineapple Pongu Limpia, while you’re there). While there are only two attractions, one restaurant and one merchandise location, there are tons of nooks and crannies all over the land that provide fabulous scenic backdrops and exploration. My family saw Pandora and Asia (our favorite land) during our day at Animal Kingdom and was still able to get onto the Triceratops Spin for my little girl.

I hope you have a wondrous journey through the portal, thanks to ACE travel, and enjoy Pandora! ~ Lindsey P.
