Are the quick service restaurants "walk up" style or do they offer seating in air-conditioned environments? They do not offer reservations...do they typically have long waits? Is it worth the extra $ and time to go to casual dining? 1st trip. Tha

    Hi Jill!

This is a hard question and in the end only you can decide if it makes sense to do more Table Service or Quick Service meals.

That said, I can tell you that for my family, going to eat in some of the fabulous restaurants is just as important as going on some of the attractions!  Of course, we have been there many times and we like to eat!  Since you have never been to Walt Disney World before, I recommend having at least one Table Service meal each day so that you will have a good feel of what it is like for your next visit to Walt Disney World.  Just keep in mind that you really need an Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) for any Table Service restaurant.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE and they can be made up to 180 days in advance.  They are really critical for theme park restaurants and at the most popular restaurants in the resort hotels.  Many will not take walk ups at all during the busier times of the year.

That said, most of the Quick Service dining locations are indeed air conditioned and there are some good ones.  Ones that stand out in my mind are Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, Flame Tree BBQ in Disney's Animal Kingdom, Backlot Express in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom.  There are also great Quick Service locations throughout the World Showcase portion of Epcot, but a lot of those don't have air conditioning.

I hope this helps!  Please Write back with more questions!
