With the Quick Service Dining Plan, since I know that the children's menu will not be good enough for my 9 yr old son, should I put him down as a 10 yr old so that he can order off of the adult menu? Can an adult order off of the children's menu?

    Hi there Christy!

When you order meals using your Disney Dining Plan quick service credits, no one monitors who eats the meals you purchased.  Therefore it is quite easy for an adult to order from the children's menu and vice versa.  You can use your quick service credits for whomever you want.  That's one of the true benefits of the Disney Dining Plan; it is incredibly flexible.

If you want to have only adult quick service credits for you son, then you will need to denote him as an adult on your reservation.  That could be a problem if you have theme park tickets on your reservation.  You don't want to pay adult admission to the theme parks for your son if he is only nine years old.  Therefore, I suggest you keep him listed as a child and simply supplement his kid's meals with the purchase of an appetizer.  That would be much more cost effective than listing him as an adult on your vacation package.
