To Moms~ If I want to use my Quick Dining Plan at Geyser Point, am I able to order from the Quick Service counter and then eat my food at the restaurant? Or since it is part Table service , I cannot eat there? Thanks!

Hi, Kristin! You are going to love staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (I'll be staying there this summer, too)! It has the rustic feel of a National Park Lodge in the Pacific Northwest. Ask the front desk if they still offer the Wonders of Wilderness Lodge Tour- it meets a couple of times a week by the 82-foot fireplace in the lobby. You'll learn about the resort's architecture and the meaning behind many of the objects on the property. I especially enjoyed seeing the Carolwood Pacific Room and hearing about Walt's love of trains.

Another reason to love this resort is all the stellar dining options it offers. Geyser Point Bar & Grill has gorgeous views, and its outdoor setting continues the Lodge's indoor stone and wood characteristics. A unique aspect of Geyser Point is it's somewhat of a hybrid counter service/lounge. When the restaurant first opened in 2017, Guests were welcome to get their meals from the walk-up counter service window and seat themselves in the lounge area. Currently, there's a podium where you wait to be seated, and these Guests will order off the Lounge menu (the Cheesy Barbecue Brisket is irresistible). Last time I was there, the Lounge was not on the Disney Dining Plan, but the Cast Member I spoke to on the phone said that it is now. If you prefer to order from the counter service window, feel free to sit at one of the patio tables in the pool area.

Kristin, if you happen to be dining or swimming in the evening, be sure to catch the Electrical Water Pageant, which will float by the resort every night at 9:30 PM. Have a fantastic trip!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
