My question is - How much trouble is it to get on and off Disney transportation with a stroller? I'd loved to save some money, but I don't want to be hassled either!

Hi, Christy!   Bringing your own stroller is a great way to save money at WDW.  The rental fees can really add up after several days.

You kids can stay right in their stroller on the monorail and ferry boats.   The only time you will need to collapse your stroller is on the bus and on the parking lot trams.   Even if your little one is sleeping, you will need to remove your little mouseketeer so you can fold up your stroller before entering the buses and trams.   This is a safety issue, there are no exceptions made on this one.
When my kids were younger, we always brought a stroller (or even our double stroller when needed!) and we never had a problem, we just folded up when necessary.   I just liked having my own stroller that held a LOT of stuff underneath!

Now that my youngest is 6, we usually rent a stroller as we only need it occasionally (super hot days and days we are in Epcot.)  But if you have little ones and will need a stroller daily, bring your own.  As long as you are prepared to fold it when needed, you should not have any problems!  Good luck!
