Question about special ticketed Ak After Hours. If there are still day guests in line when park closes how are wait times going to be shorter/. For instance FOP? If there is a 3 hour wait right before closing, does that mean I still have a 3 hour wait?

You've asked a great question, Linda! Disney After Hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a special ticketed event that runs on select nights, and it's perfect for those who want to experience popular attractions, especially those in Pandora- The World of Avatar, with lower wait times. Snacks galore, including popcorn, ice cream novelties, and non-alcoholic bottled drinks are also included in the price of admission.

I spoke to a Cast Member today, and I asked her to give me feedback on her experience. She said that since they only sell a limited number of tickets, the Park was virtually empty the night she attended the event. She recommends getting to the Park early since Guests with Disney After Hours tickets can enter the park at 7:00 PM. During the summer months, this event takes place from 9:00 PM to midnight, so there will still be day Guests waiting in the attraction queues until then- perhaps you should stick to the Africa and Asia sections until the Park officially closes. By 9:00 PM she said you will see minimal to no wait times for both Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey- this should give you the opportunity for multiple banshee rides during the night! Make sure to stop and enjoy the beauty of the bioluminescent forest which looks and sounds (especially with the Pandora Drummers) dramatically different at night. In between rides, take time for Rivers of Light (which will have one showing) and the Tree of Life Awakenings.

I think this event will be one of the highlights of your trip, Linda! Oh, and did I mention the unlimited Mickey Ice Cream Bars?
