Mom and Child wearing Magic Bands

Hi! My question regarding rider swap/fastpass+ at WDW; My husband and I are traveling with our 10yr old and 7yr old. My 7yr old is tall enough to ride but gets extremely afraid of large rides. Can my 10yr old ride twice, once with each adult?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kim! I have a family of four with two kids, as well, so Rider Switch service is something we use multiple times a day on our Walt Disney World Resort Vacations.

Rider Switch was enacted to help guests that were either unable or preferred not to ride a ride. If you are unfamiliar with how Rider Switch Service works, you can wait with your 7-year-old while the rest of your family enjoys the ride.  After they riders exit, your husband passes you the rider switch pass and can supervise your younger daughter while you experience the fun via the FastPass+ line. One of my favorite perks of Rider Switch is that the supervising adult can take one other guest with them to ride so they aren’t alone. Your 10 year old can do what my grade schooler does - end up riding twice as the “buddy” on the second time.

I highly recommend using rider switch for a can't-miss attraction like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in conjunction with FastPass+ so you can make the most of your time!  Let me know if you have more questions about getting around the park, and enjoy your vacation! ~Lindsey
