My question is about the meal plan. How do I find out what we are able to order for a meal? Are we able to order anything from the menu, or will there be a seperate menu for the people on the plan?

    Hi Kimberly,

You will be able to order off the regular menu.  When you pay at a counter service restaurant, you will hand your resort key to the cashier and tell her or him how many counter service credits you would like to use.  All of the cashiers are well educated on the plan and can help answer immediate questions that come  up.  At the counter service establishments you can get one beverage, one entree, and one dessert.  You can also get a combo platter if its offered.  The large menus that are displayed will indicated what's included in the plan by the DDP symbol.  For instance, a large fountain is included, but a souvenir cup of soda is not included.

It is much easier at the sit down restaurants.  In almost ever case your server will ask when you first sit down whether you are on the dining plan.  S/he will explain how the plan works.  I have seen, on very rare occasions, a restaurant have a certain special entree that is not included.  At a one table service credit restaurant, there was a very expensive surf and turf entree that the waiter specifically mentioned wasn't included.  We have eaten on the plan for at least 4 vacations and maybe once or twice we've seen that happen.

I'm sure you are going to enjoy the meal plan and will be a pro at it soon into your trip.

    Thanks for the question,
    Michelle
