My question is. I know you can't use selfie sticks at any of the parks. Thanks almighty. I am a photographer. Not professional. It's a hobby of mine. What are the rules for monopods or tripods. Can I use them?

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Glad to know you are planning a vacation for the upcoming fall. It is a great season to visit, and be sure to enjoy the foods of the world during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

I remember taking my bulky camera back in the past with different lenses. I would capture great shots of my family, but I would always be behind the lens and not in the frame. Now, I just let the Disney PhotoPass Service photographers capture our memories quickly and easily.

I do come from a family of photographers and love to capture that perfect view of Cinderella Castle at sundown. Although selfie sticks are considered restricted items, you will be happy to know that tripods and monopods are permitted provided they fit inside a standard size backpack. Be sure to look at the list Restricted Personal Items for more information.

One last tip: I hope you set some time aside to visit the beautiful Pandora - The World of Avatar. Not only you will be amazed by it during the day, but be ready to capture all the colors at night, when the bioluminescence flora comes to life. See you real soon!

    Ricardo.
