Hi There, Question about the Dining Plans- If I were to get the Dining Plan-- I can still pay out of pocket for Signature Dining or Dinner Shows right? Or would it be in my interest to get the Deluxe? we are going for 14 days in February! :)

    Welcome, Nikki!

Your trip in February sounds spectacular. Think of all the amazing restaurants you could enjoy over the course of two weeks. Wow!

My family and I have been big fans of the Disney Dining Plan for years. We love the ease and flexibility it affords guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort. We typically choose the plan that offers one table-service credit, one quick-service meal and two snacks per person each day. However, I had long been curious about the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, so for our trip over spring break this year, we added it to our reservation. We love appetizers so we really enjoyed having an appetizer included with our table-service meals.

The decision between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan should depend on a number of factors related to your family's eating and vacationing habits. Here are a few things to consider:

    1. If you plan to eat more quick-service meals than table-service meals, you may not find the deluxe plan cost-effective.

    2. If you plan to include dinner shows or signature dining experiences daily, the deluxe plan is worthwhile. You may pay out-of-pocket for those dining experiences if you select the Disney Dining Plan and don't want to use your table-service credits on those meals. That's typically what I do.

    3. If you plan to spend most of your time enjoying attractions in the theme parks, the time you spend dining with the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan may be an obstacle to that objective.

    4. If you're a "foodie," I bet you would really enjoy the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.

Whichever plan you choose, Nikki, don't forget to make your table-service reservations 180 days prior to your arrival.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
