    Matthew from TN Asked

I am purchasing a park resort reservation today. I am waiting to purchase my park tickets later. Will I still be able to reserve fast passes 60 days in advance without having the park ticket in hand yet?

    Hi Matthew,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's Walt Disney World resort reservation day in your household! How thrilling!

To make your Fast Pass+ selections, you will need to have valid theme park tickets. Be sure you have created a My Disney Experience account, linked your resort hotel reservation and linked your theme park tickets. If you have friends or family traveling with you, be sure you have either added them to your Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience or connected to them through their My Disney Experience accounts.

Given the popularity of some rides, I strongly suggest that you make Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance. I always go online at 7:00 a.m. on day 60 prior to arrival. Avatar Flight of Passage is a difficult Fast Pass+ to get, so I suggest you make that one first. Then I make Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain selections.

When making your Fast Pass+ selections, remember to consider geography. You do not want to have to hike it across a park for one Fast Pass+ and then back across the park for another. For example, at Magic Kingdom, we might do Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tomorrowland Speedway then Space Mountain. On another Magic Kingdom day, we would do the Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain.

Matthew, before you login to make your Fast Pass+ selections, just be sure to have a plan! We typically do our Fast Pass+ rides in the morning so that we can start making that fourth "rolling" Fast Pass+ in the afternoon.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
