When purchasing food at any location, if I chose to not use a dining credit and instead have it charged to my credit card/room with my Magic Band, how do I do that? Thank you!

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Matthew! What did we even do in the time before MagicBands? I love being able to travel light and using it to access my theme park tickets, make purchases, and open the door to my Resort Hotel room!

Since you have access to your Disney Dining Plan credits as well as the ability to charge purchases to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room when you use your MagicBand, switching back and forth between those two methods of payment has been made super easy. All you need to do is let the Cast Member serving you know that you'd like to charge the purchase to your resort hotel room or use your credit card instead of using your Dining Plan credits. They will usually ask, but you can certainly tell them up-front to make sure they know how you'd like to pay. You can do this at both Quick-Service and Table-Service dining locations - it's all pretty flexible!

You can also use your Disney Dining Plan in combination with your credit card or another payment method if you want to try a few extra things on the menu. When my husband and I dine at a Table-Service location, we'll redeem our Dining Plan credits for our entrées and desserts, and pay out of pocket for some appetizers. This way we can try a little bit of everything the restaurant has to offer!

Have a magical day, Matthew, and let us know if you have any more questions before you go on your vacation this fall.
