When purchasing an annual pass, how long in advance will customizable magic bands be sent? As they do not ship to Europe, I am looking at shipping them to a friend in the US who will then forward the shipment to me. Would love them customized!

Hi there, Sandy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for reaching out and allowing us to help you with your Walt Disney World Resort question!

It is definitively true that Walt Disney World Annual Passholders receive complimentary MagicBands with the purchase of their passes! There actually isn’t a “deadline” for receiving your MagicBands, though. As you may know, whenever you book a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, you must customize your MagicBands within a certain period before your arrival date. However, since Annual Passholders are not “arriving” at a specific time, they do not possess this same deadline. One year, I actually completely forgot to customize my own family’s Annual Passholder MagicBands until the end of the year! Whoops!

Basically, this gives you the flexibility to customize your Annual Passholder MagicBands at any point during your year as a Passholder! Simple log into the My Disney Experience account linked with your Annual Passes and you will be able to customize your MagicBands there!

I love using my MagicBands during my trips to Walt Disney World Resort! They make it so easy to link Disney PhotoPass images to my account, enter into the theme parks and water parks, and check into my FastPass+ experiences. I just love having such easy access to so many parts of my vacation plans!

Have fun during your upcoming year as a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and welcome to the Annual Passholder family!
