    Chris from IA Asked

We have purchased tickets for our family of 5 with the MaxPass option and have linked our tickets to the Disneyland app. Our question is, if our family wants to split up and use their FastPass for different rides, how do we do that?

Hi, Chris! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I am thrilled that you will be using Disney MaxPass on your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! You will absolutely love how quickly and easily you can select FASTPASSES and how much time it will save your family.

You can make different FASTPASS selections for different members of your party by modifying the FASTPASS party when you make a selection. When your party splits up to ride different attractions with MaxPass, you have two different options for redeeming your FASTPASSES. If there will be at least one person with each group that has a cellphone, you can bring up the FASTPASSES on that device. Just ensure that each person with a cellphone has downloaded the free Disneyland app and created an account. You will then link all the tickets to everyone’s apps. When a FASTPASS is made for a certain Guest, it will automatically appear in each app to which their ticket is linked.

If the group that will be splitting off will not have a mobile device, they will simply use their physical theme park tickets to redeem their FASTPASS. You will need to make the FASTPASS selection before the group splits up. Then as long as they know the time when they can redeem their FASTPASS, they just show up to the FASTPASS queue, scan their ticket, and hop aboard the attraction.

Once you start using Disney MaxPass in the parks, you will see that it is super easy to learn and use and you’ll get the hang of it quickly. I hope you have a magnificent time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
