    Tammy from IL Asked

I have purchased the salute to military 4 day PH ticket. Do the days have to be used consecutively or can we use them anytime before the end of the program? For example use a day in Feb and the other 3 in September.

Hello, Tammy! Thank you for your service to our country; I am grateful for your dedication! I had the pleasure of visiting the Parks with my Coast Guard brother this year when he purchased Military 4-day Park Hopper tickets this year. I hope I can shed some light on their usage!

As you know, active and retired U.S. military personnel or their spouses can purchase military tickets and take advantage of specially priced rooms at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. My brother likes to stop by Shades of Green Resort’s ticket desk to purchase his Theme Parks tickets for the entire Orlando area.  After purchasing, he takes the code on the back and links his Walt Disney World Resort tickets to his MagicBand for easy access to FastPass+, Memory Maker and more.

You may also know when you buy a regular park (or Park Hopper) ticket, it expires 14 days after the first day of use. Instead of expiring in 2 weeks, Walt Disney World Military Tickets have a long expiration for that calendar year. The 2017 tickets you bought this year are good until December 19th, 2017. There is a blackout window of April 9-23, 2017 that you cannot use the tickets for. Other than that, you are correct.  You can visit Magic Kingdom 1 day in February and then again for 3 days in October (and while you’re there, I recommend adding a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket; the celebration is a spooky, thrilling experience!). Just make sure you use all your ticket days before December 19th, 2017 when the Military Tickets expire.

I hope you have a magical vacation, and please return to ask any more planning questions. ~Lindsey P.
