We purchased a package (hotel + tickets) for next year, and plan to upgrade to an Annual Pass when we arrive. Do all parties have to be present to do the upgrade at Guest Relations, or can Dad go take care of it while Mom is at the hotel with napping kids?

    Hi Anna,

I'm so happy you are planning to upgrade to a Walt Disney World annual pass! I've been a passholder for 20 years and look forward each year to many days of fun and togetherness in the theme parks with my family.

In my experience, every adult needs to be present with identification when activating or upgrading tickets or annual passes. It's usually a quick process that takes just a few minutes. If you are worried about your children getting restless while you wait your turn, I suggest you visit the Guest Relations location at Disney Springs for your transaction. It's large with sofas and comfy chairs inside and rocking chairs on the wraparound porch where you can wait your turn.

While you're at Disney Springs, check out all the dining, shopping and entertainment for the entire family. My family loves spending a day here. If you're looking for a quick service meal that will appeal to kids and adults, I recommend D-Luxe BurgerBlaze Fast Fire'd Pizza or the Polite Pig. Or treat yourselves to cupcakes from Sprinkles.

And don't miss a visit to the World of Disney, Once Upon a Toy and the Lego Store!

Thanks for your question, Anna. Please check back with the Disney Parks Moms Panel any time. We're always here to help with your planning questions. Enjoy!
