I purchased one day tickets via the Disney app. Will cards be sent to to me? Or so I have to go to a customer service location to get cards?

    Hiya Lynn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s always a pleasure to assist a fellow Virginian with their Walt Disney World Resort vacation questions, and I’m so excited to see that your vacation is only weeks away – hurray!

When you purchase tickets online or through the My Disney Experience mobile app, the default option is to pick up your Admission Cards at a Guest Relations, Will Call, or Ticket window when you arrive at Walt Disney World. You’ll just need to bring the confirmation number from your ticket purchase, which you should have received by email, and the Cast Member assisting you can pull up the tickets and give you your admission cards. Next stop: magic!

I recommend giving yourselves about 30 minutes to pick up the cards, especially if you’re planning on rope dropping (that’s Mickey for “getting to a theme park in time for opening.”) Lots of other Guests are activating or picking up tickets, and it’s not magical to get up early, arrive early, and then stand in line while you watch others enter the theme parks. Usually, the Guest Relations windows outside the parks open about an hour before park opening to assist Guests, so be sure to work that time into your plans.

It sounds like you won’t be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, but if you will be, or if you have MagicBands from a past visit, you can also link the tickets to those MagicBands in your My Disney Experience account. This makes for a seamless experience, as those magical bracelets can be used to enter the theme park tapstile, enter the FastPass+ queue, and link PhotoPass photos to your account. If you won’t have MagicBands, not to worry: the admission cards work in the same way.

Now, more than ever, it’s a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, with so many new attractions, experiences, and tasty treats to be found in the theme parks, resorts, and at Disney Springs. Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days, as they share great tips and news, and it always gets me so excited for vacation mode!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
