I purchased 2 nights at a Disney property, dining plan and 4-day park hopper tickets. We will be staying off property for 5 nights before moving to a DW hotel. Will my park hopper tickets work for those days before we check in at the DW hotel?

Hi Andy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner. Time to get excited! And it's also time to get all those plans nailed down - like when you'll get to start using those Park Hopper tickets.

Here's the great news, Andy: you don't have to be staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to start using your Park Hopper tickets. As long as you have a valid ticket, you can start using it any time. If you have a My Disney Experience account, you should be able to see your tickets there. That's all you need, so go ahead and hit the parks at any point during your vacation.

Also, since you're spending a couple of nights in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you'll get a free MagicBand for everyone on your reservation. When you're ready to visit the Theme Parks, just pop it on your wrist and you'll use it to enter the parks and use your FastPass+ selections.

I hope this helps you make the most of those precious Disney days, Andy. Please come back and visit us if you have any more questions. We love to help!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
