We have purchased the dining plan but want advice on where we can get "healthy, quick service meals" for lunch. We are looking for yogurt and salads rather than burger and fries. Any ideas you have in all the parks would be helpful.

WDW has made great strides in making the food options for guests more healthful. There are fresh fruit stands in all the parks. Also, the default side dish for most children's meals throughout WDW is now a choice of carrot sticks, grapes, or applesauce. The fries are there, but they don't come automatically and you have to ask for them.

While all WDW food is getting more healthful, there are some counter service (or quick service) venues that are ahead of the game:

The best is Sunshine Season Food Fair at Epcot. There are no pizzas or burgers here. Instead there is a station with fresh salads and soups. Other stations are the sandwich shop with made-to-order items that include grilled veggies and fresh meats, the Asian shop which offers stir-fry vegetables and noodle dishes, and the grill shop that offers salmon and chicken served with flatbreads.

Columbia Harbor House in the MK: There are nuggets here, but also vegetarian chili and a delish hummus sandwich.

Tomorrowland  Terrace Noodle Station in the MK: This is not always open, but when it is, you can find noodle bowls with tofu and other Asian dishes.

ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios: Choices include black bean salad and tabbouleh wraps.

Studio Catering Company at DHS: Greek salads and tandoori chicken.

Flame Tree BBQ at the Animal Kingdom: Healthy options are harder to find at the AK, but this restaurant does have salads. Also try the new quick serve spot at the Yak and Yeti.

Also, most countries at Epcot have healthy choices. I love the couscous with veggies at the quick service spot in Morocco.

To see the menus for any restaurant, you can go to the website allearsnet.com. Click on the search button and type in the name of the restaurant. You'll find hits that will bring you to menu pages. The chefs do sometimes tinker with the offerings, but you will get a good overview here.

    Have a great trip!
