We purchased 7 day parkhopper tickets online, and booked a two night stay at a WDW Resort. the other (first) 5 days we are offsite with friends. The two days onsite are at the end of our trip... will we be able to activate bands before staying there? Thnx

Hi Sue! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your summer vacation at Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner. Before you know it, you'll be making your FastPass+ selections and watching the mail for those MagicBands!

Here's the great news: as long as you have a valid Theme Park admission (which you've already purchased online), your MagicBands will work whether you're staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or an offsite location. When you receive your MagicBands, just pop into your My Disney Experience account and make sure your bands are linked to your tickets. Once you confirm that everything matches up, you should be good to go!

There's lots of helpful information on linking your reservation and tickets to your MagicBands on the Walt Disney World website.

I hope this helps you make the most of your Walt Disney World vacation, Sue. Please visit us again if we can help you with your plans. It's what we do best!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
