Hi there, William!
Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm excited you will soon be making a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
How very fortunate you are to have received complimentary park tickets. Typically a complimentary ticket cannot be upgraded to a ticket of higher value. This means you cannot upgrade the number of days or add the Park Hopper feature if it is a One Park Per Day ticket. You also cannot upgrade complimentary tickets to Disneyland Resort Annual Passports. In my experience, you still are able to link these tickets to your
Disneyland app account and add the daily Disney MaxPass feature, but to be sure you can call (714) 781-4636 with questions about your specific tickets.
I recommend downloading the Disneyland app, making an account, then clicking "Tickets and Passes" from the menu screen. In the upper right corner you will see a blue "+" symbol to "Link Tickets & Passes." You can easily scan or manually enter each ticket's barcode. Once you scan your ticket in at the gate each morning, either from the app or the actual paper ticket itself, you can then add the
Disney MaxPass feature. Just select "Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass" right from the app's menu. This will allow you to easily and conveniently make digital Disney FASTPASS selections right from your phone allowing you to truly make the most out of your day. You are going to save so much time bypassing the standby queues of many popular attractions.
The Disneyland app will be your number one tool to maximize your day, so I recommend familiarizing yourself with it before you arrive. This app lets you view attraction wait times, Character locations, entertainment schedules, and it even lets you mobile order food and beverages from select Quick Service restaurants in the parks!
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions before your trip. I hope you have a Fantasmic day!
