Hello! If we purchase tickets online to Magic Kingdom will those tickets also get us in to the new Star Wars Galaxy Edge section of the park? Do we need to make a reservation to Star Wars Galaxy Edge?

    Hi Caroline!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Florida is just around the corner. My transport to the planet of Batuu won’t arrive until November, but I am already getting excited about this amazing new land!

At the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park, and this would not be included with a ticket to the Magic Kingdom. It can be a little confusing because at the Disneyland Resort in California, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located inside Disneyland Park, which is considered to be the corresponding park to the Magic Kingdom. In California, yes, you would be able to see Galaxy’s Edge with your admission to Disneyland.

If you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and wanted to visit both the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios you have a few ticket options. If you have more than one day available to visit, you could purchase a two-day or longer ticket and allow yourself more time to relax and explore both parks. Want to experience both parks on the same day? You can purchase a 1-day ticket with Park Hopper Option.

While a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is not currently required to visit the land, crowd levels may impact admission on a busy day. If you’d like to enjoy some blue milk at Oga’s Cantina, create your own Lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop or build a droid at the Droid Depot, a reservation is recommended. A reservation for one of these locations will allow a Guest to enter the land even if entry is otherwise restricted due to crowd levels.

I hope this information helps you with your planning, Caroline! May the Force be with you!
