If I purchase a platinum annual pass for a trip in October, will I be able to make fastpass reservations at the 60 day mark if staying on property? Also, and maybe more importantly, I do not have to activate my pass until I arrive, correct? Thank you,

    Hi James,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

As a fellow Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder, I’m happy to say that you can absolutely make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days before your arrival if you’re staying in a Disney Resort Hotel. All you need to do is make sure that your hotel reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience account, and you should be good to go the moment your selection window opens up for your October trip.

I recently updated my new Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass, after having purchased it several months ago, and I can confirm that it wasn’t active until I used it to enter my first Theme Park. While I was able to make FastPass+ selections with it, none of the other entitlements such as Disney PhotoPass pictures and other Passholder Perks were active until it was activated.

I hope my answer helps you plan a wonderful Disney Parks vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
