If you purchase a Magicband as you are not staying at a Disney property, can you still link a credit card to your Magicband? Can you use a debit visa or prepaid card as well?

    Hello Kelsey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a very good question!

Using a MagicBand to make purchases at the Walt Disney World Resort is a benefit available exclusively for Guests of Disney Resort hotels. They are able to charge purchases to their Disney Resort hotel room during their stay, and then use the credit card linked to their account for final payment.

However, you are welcome to use cash, credit and debit cards, and Disney Gift Cards during your visit to pay for food, merchandise, and services at the place where dreams come true. You will still be able to link theme park admission tickets, FastPass+ selections, Memory Maker, and dining reservations to your MagicBand when it is activated and linked to your Disney account.

Thank you very much for sending your first question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It has been a pleasure helping you.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
