is there any way I can purchase a magic hour access for our private photographer who has an annual pass to come to teh park with us an hour early?

Hi there, Sibylle! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

At this time, there are only two ways to gain early entry to the parks. You can be a registered Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest and have Extra Magic Hour every day of your stay or you can purchase a three-day or longer ticket and receive one Magic Morning entitlement at Disneyland Park. If you want to get those great early morning pictures in the parks without many crowds, I suggest that you head to the park that isn’t having Extra Magic Hour/Magic Morning that day so your photographer can enter with you when the park opens. So, for Disneyland Park, plan to go on either a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, and for some great early shots in Disney California Adventure Park, visit on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.

Or you can opt for some nighttime photos! While you might have to stay pretty late to avoid having crowds in your photos, there are some pretty great nighttime photo opportunities. Cars Land is particularly beautiful after sunset. You could take some shots along Route 66 with all the neon signs in the background or pose on the walkway that connects Cars Land with Pacific Wharf to have the sweeping Cadillac Range Mountains as your backdrop. Or how about positioning yourselves at the Disneyland Railroad Main Street, U.S.A. station? You’ll be elevated a bit so you are out of the crowds and you’ll have a completely lit up Main Street, U.S.A. and Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background.

I hope your visit the Happiest Place on Earth is full of magic and memories!
