If I purchase a magic band (I'm not staying on property), can it be linked to a credit or debit card to use in the parks so I don't have to carry a wallet?

    Hi, Valerie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you so much for stopping by with your excellent question. I also hope you've had planning your vacation, it's just around the corner.

MagicBands are awesome tools to use during your vacation, even when staying off-property. With the ability to link your theme park tickets, FastPass+ selections, and PhotoPass Photos, this all-in-one device will make your time in the parks a bit more convenient. However, guests staying off-property, or at non-Disney owned Resort hotels are not able to link credit cards to their MagicBands for charging capabilities. This function only works when staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort hotel as the Resorts are who process the charges made on guests' accounts.

I hope this information is helpful in your planning, Valerie.  Please let me know if you should have any additional last-minute questions, you can reach out to me directly.

    Have a Disney day!
