    Sarah from AR Asked

If I purchase a 4 day park hopper ticket a month before visiting WDW and upgrade to an Annual Pass after using one day, when is the expiration of the annual pass?

Sarah, I love how you think! Upgrading your Disney Theme Park Tickets to an Annual Pass is always a great idea! Not only does it mean more access to the magic, but you will also have access to some amazing benefits. There are discounts at dining and merchandise locations as well as Passholder exclusive merchandise, room discounts, and even events! Wow, that's a whole lot of magic!

To get your year as an Annual Passholder started off, you will need to head to a Guest Services location to complete the upgrade. These are located at the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and at Disney Springs. The Cast Members there will be more than happy to help you. Just be sure to complete your upgrade before the park closes on the last day of your original ticket use. When your ticket is upgraded, the expiration of your Annual Pass will be based on the date of your first use of the original ticket. The expiration date will be one year from that first use date.

Sarah, if you use your car to travel to the theme park on the day you complete your Annual Pass upgrade, be sure to hang on to your parking receipt. Since parking is complimentary for Passholders, your parking fee can be refunded in most cases while you are at Guest Services. Be sure to look over the current list of Passholder benefits before your trip so you are up to date on all the great discounts offered!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question and please let us know if you have any others for us as you continue to plan your upcoming pixie-dusted adventures!
