if i purchae the 5 day base ticket can i add the parkhopper option later if we decide to? how exactly do the magicbands work we are not staying on disney property is it worth it?? also are tickets paper tickets or cards??

    Hi Krista!

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels are provided with MagicBands with their reservation. They can be used by these Guests for park entrance, FastPass+ entrance, for food and merchandise purchases and as a room key. For Guests staying off property, MagicBands can be purchased and linked to the My Disney Experience account and used for park entrance and FastPass+ entrance. The tickets that you have purchased will be plastic cards and can be scanned very quickly for the same uses. So it just depends on whether or not you want to spend the extra money for the convenience of the MagicBands.

The park hopper option can be added to your tickets at any time throughout your visit. If you decide that you want to park hop, just visit the Guest Services window at the entrance to any of the parks to add it. It should only take a few minutes, and then you'll be on your way to park hopping!

I hope you have a magical vacation and make lots of wonderful memories. Happy planning!
