Hi! Pulled up hours & sched for Sat Mar 8th. No parades or fireworks scheduled at DL...can you tell me why? Also, Soarin' is not listed on refurbishments for DCA, but I heard it was until beg of June. Last ? Mom will be in ECV. Need to get a GAC?

    Hi, Jill!

Thanks for your questions! I just checked out the daily calendar on Disneyland.com, and it looks like the park schedule may not have had all the current information for your selected date when you looked previously. I see that on March 8, you can choose from two times for Mickey’s Soundsational Parade (4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.), and an evening presentation of “Remember…Dreams Come True” Fireworks is also scheduled. As of now, Soarin' Over California is expected to be closed for refurbishment February 24–27 only. Please keep in mind that the entertainment and attraction closure schedule is subject to change, so it’s best to confirm this information in person when you arrive.

The Disability Access Service (DAS) Card replaced the Guest Assistance Card last year. The new system is designed to accommodate Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including non-apparent disabilities). DAS cards are issued at Guest Relations and offer a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. As soon as the Guest finishes one attraction, they can receive a return time for another.

However, a Guest whose disability is based solely on the need for a wheelchair or Electronic Convenience Vehicle does not need a DAS Card. Depending on the attraction, you and your mother will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time at the attraction based on the current wait time.

I hope this information helps, Jill. Please feel free to ask me any other planning questions you may have as your vacation approaches!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
