What are the pros and cons of using Fast Pass?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sabrina. Thanks for stopping by with your question about the FastPass program at the Disneyland Resort.

There are so many perks to using the FastPass service and my family takes advantage of it whenever we can. Using FastPasses can save you time waiting in line and allow you to maximize your enjoyment at the parks. When you arrive at the FastPass distribution kiosk, check the Return FastPass Time that is displayed. If this time works for you, insert your Disneyland Resort admission ticket or Annual Passport into the FastPass machine to obtain your FastPass. This allows you time to enjoy other parts of the park or grab a bite to eat. Then, when it is your Return FastPass Time, simply head to the FastPass entrance to experience the attraction.

One small downside of the FastPass service is that you are unable to obtain additional FastPasses until the stated time listed on your current one. Usually, it is the beginning time of your FastPass return hour. For example, if your FastPass is valid between 9:30 and 10:30, you will be able to acquire a new FastPass for a different ride after 9:30. Regardless, I still find the FastPass service exceptionally helpful to fit in multiple favorite attractions, particularly on busy days.

I hope this information is helpful for you. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions, Sabrina.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
