What are the proper documentations to get off the ship to go to cabo? Do we need to have a passport to disembark the ship or is the state issued birth certificate ok?

    Ahoy Rizza!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so excited that you will soon be cruising with Captain Mickey!  I hope you are enjoying planning your trip as your countdown grows smaller.  My kids like to find fun ways to countdown the days until our next Disney Cruise like making paper chains.  It keeps the excitement growing between the time we book our vacation until we set sail!

Documentation requirements for checking in for your cruise as well as debarking at each port are subject to change.  It is important that you review travel guidelines and regulations relevant to your cruise under My Reservations on the Disney Cruise Line website.

At most ports, adult guests are required to show government issued photo identification plus your Key to the World Card issued by Disney Cruise Line for use during your sailing.  Both will need to be shown when leaving the ship and re-boarding after exploring the port.  In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Disney Cruise Line recommends for your safety to keep your passports and cruise or air transportation documents onboard in your stateroom safe.  If you do not have alternate government photo identification other than your passport, be sure you carry it in a safe place on your person to avoid losing it during your Port Adventures.

If you are still looking for something to do while in Cabo San Lucas, let me recommend Salsa and Salsa.  This cooking and dancing Port Adventure gives you an authentic Mexican experience!  It is a great way to spend the day in Cabo San Lucas.

    Enjoy making magical memories!  Angie
