We are in the process of planning our Disney vacation for this Spring. We are comparing prices for Disney Resorts versus staying at an offsite property. Are there packages for staying on property that include park tickets making it more cost effective?

Welcome Nadine to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I am happy to help you decide what works best for your family when budgeting for a Walt Disney World vacation.

In my opinion, if your family is specifically coming down to experience Walt Disney World then the only way to do it is to stay on property. When you stay on property you are privy to the Magical Express, which is free transportation to and from the airport, along with the choice to skip baggage claim and have your luggage delivered directly to your room.  You are able to stay in a variety of themed resorts that can fit into your families budget, plus on property guest can enter select theme parks early or stay later with the Extra Magic Hours. The Disney Dining Plan is only offered to Guests staying on property and no need to rent a car because Disney offers a variety of complimentary transportation service to get your around the Walt Disney World Resort.  Plus you have My Disney Experience at your fingertips, which is an online service that makes reserving, planning and linking your vacation convenient because you can see it all in one place.

As for Walt Disney World package this Spring, the first thing to do is sign in to the Walt Disney World website and start an account so you can receive emails when special offers and discounts are offered. There is one currently running.  I truly believe staying on property is the only way to experience the entire Disney Magic and I don't think you will be disappointed.

As you begin your adventure of planning I am sure you will have many more questions so feel free to ask for my pixie dusted assistance, I am happy to help.
