I have a problem with standing long periods. We would love to see the parades when there, but I can't stand in one position that long. Can I bring one of the canes that have a seat or could I bring a chair that fits in a big and under the stroller?

Hi Betty, and thank you so much for stopping by with this great question. The Walt Disney World Resort is meant to be fun for all ages and abilities, so I hope I can put your mind at ease.

I checked the Park Rules and Regulations page on the Disney website, which offers a helpful list of items that you can't bring along in the Theme Parks. I did see that folding chairs are not allowed, but I know you can bring a cane with you. I've also heard of Guests who brought in canes that have small seats attached with no issues.

Another option I've heard of Guests using is something called a rollator, or a walker with wheels, that also has a small seat attached to it. If you only need minimal assistance with walking, you may find the cane to be more portable and easier to manage than the rollator, but either one should work for you.

I hope this helps with your planning, Betty. Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation, and please visit us again if you have any more questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
