    James from NY Asked

Is there a problem with the Magic Bands on airplanes? What if I lose my Magic Band? Can someone else access my room? We have visited many times before, but this is the first time with the Magic Bands, and high-tech worries us a little. Thanks!

    Hi, James!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I hope I can help ease your concerns about using MagicBands. I have used mine on many flights and there hasn't been a single problem. I often pack my MagicBand in a carry-on bag so I can put it on once my flight lands in Orlando. Wearing my band makes it easier to check into the Magical Express bus service. If you pack it into your checked luggage, that's okay. You can also use your reservation number to snag a ride to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel!

If you lose your MagicBand, there are steps you can take. The best tip is to be sure to deactivate your band as soon as you notice it is missing. You can do that through the My Disney Experience app or you can work with the Guest Service at your hotel. Check out this full list of Frequently Asked Questions to help make sure you have as much information as possible before you bring your MagicBands to Florida. I thought they were a little strange at first, but I've really enjoyed the convenience!

Let me know if you have any extra questions before your visit. I'm happy to help!
